Experts say we move less during extreme temperatures. Now that it’s getting cold, well, frigid, I certainly feel more sluggish. There’s always dance parties while we jam to Pandora’s toddler stations, but sometimes we need to get out of the house. We’ve started going to the local recreation center once a week. You could even say that it’s a new healthy tradition. Wo hoo! Take that, Crap Trap.
The cost is reasonable ($1) and Big P has discovered a new love: basketball. I don’t love basketball. But that’s okay. I can dribble a ball and just enjoy the time with Big P. It’s also a blast to watch Little A wander around carrying the giant orange ball. What about Middle E? He’s just happy to be out of the house.
When they’re bored of basketball we run upstairs and do “dinosaur” laps around the track. (Translation: Big P and Middle E squawking or growling loudly while sprinting at top toddler-speeds. Little A just screams or cackles. It’s even louder than the boys.) The poor senior citizen walkers.
