I love being social. Online and offline. I just love people. I also know that good food can spark amazing conversations and relationships. Here’s the first installment of a series with tips on how to host great gatherings – all with health in mind.
Healthy Hostess Hack 1: Use cute little plates, cups, or other container to help guests eat a non-Godzilla serving size.
I’ve been trying to reign in my portions lately. I can quickly chow through a multiple servings of pita chips without blinking, breathing, or any recognizable cognitive activity. I made these paper containers for my most recent birthday boy who wanted to have chips, cherry tomatoes, snap peas, and guacamole for his school treat. They helped me evenly distribute the snacks and were a cinch to make.
Fast forward to the present time. Insane holiday party time. These containers are perfect because they are easy, cute, and helps everyone enjoy holiday snacking without those embarrassing two-handed dives into the chip bowl. I also have holiday scrapbooking paper that will never be used for scrapbooking. Ever. The mini size is adorable, too. Use it for a tray of nuts, toffee, or other sweets. Are you a healthy hostess?
