Healthy Heart Game Board

Healthy Heart Game Board for ClassroomsClassroom teachers are incredible. They are also incredibly into themes. Dr. Seuss Week. Camping Week. Crazy Science Week. Martin Luther King Jr. Week. You get the idea. This game board is for teachers who have a theme on the human heart, exercise, or health.

I made this game for a PreK teacher who has a theme on….

…drumroll…

“All About My Body!”

She is cleverly coinciding the theme with Valentine’s Day. The exercises work great for PreK – 4th graders.

How To:

  • Print enough boards for the entire class or for a small groups rotating through centers.
  • Have them rotate through the exercises by rolling a dice or tossing a coins.
  • Turn on some music!
  • Once their heart rates are up – teach them how to feel their pulse by placing their index finger and middle fingers on the side of their neck.

Pass along to your educator buddies who are into themes! (That’s all of them I think.)

Thanks so much for this game board. In 2013 I had an episode with my heart beating very fast. And even though they couldn’t find anything wrong I know I need to take care of my heart since heart problems run through my dad’s side of the family.

Hey Alice! Heart disease is also a big problem for the women in my family. I love thinking about heart health during Valentine’s Day. Here’s to strong hearts!
