Watermelon Pizza Parlor

Watermelon-Pizza-Parlor-HeaderI’ve been staring at the word parlor. Now no matter how I spell it, it still looks weird. I think I just need to escape my screen and head out to the garden.

Setting up a Watermelon Pizza Parlor is the perfect low-prep activity for summer afternoons. Cut open your watermelon and remove the rind. Make as many 3/4″ or 1″ thick melon “crusts” as your melon allows. The remainder can be tossed in a fruit salad or infused water.prep-dough

Next, scrounge your fridge and freezer for suitable toppings. You can’t really go wrong. Well, you can go wrong if you put out Cheetos.

❤I thawed some frozen blackberries, sliced a few strawberries, and set out unsweetened coconut flakes for something to sprinkle.Watermelon-Pizza-ParlorGive each kiddo their own crust and easy access to the toppings. Let the sweetest (and healthiest) pizza parlor fun begin. My kids love to pretend to be professional servers and took my pizza order. Why not get out the fancy plates?  ❤
