Berry Cherry Parfait + Giveaway

Berry Cherry Parfait

Whoever invented the parfait deserves a crown. This is a go-to recipe that every single mom needs to have in her back pocket when the kids want dessert. It’s also a fast breakfast option or fancy snack. I also love that I don’t have to cook a single thing and it looks cool. Can you say, versatile?

In honor of Valentine’s Day I wanted to create something with a beloved fruit: Cherries. My kids will attack a bag of cherries and within seconds leave a pile of stems and pits behind as the only evidence they even entered the house. That’s if they even make it out of the car and into the house.

I love cherries because they remind me of my mom. I don’t know if she intentionally does this – but after every single delivery she brings them to the hospital. It’s become a little tradition and I love fresh fruit while we celebrate a new little baby.

Berry Cherry Parfait

I used plain Greek yogurt and dyed it with crushed freeze dried raspberries. I keep those delicious gems in my pantry all the time. I use them in quick breads, oatmeal, and cereal.

The crunchy goodies in this parfait are Love Grown Foods Oat Clusters. When I’m not making my own granola, this product is amazingly delicious with a super clean ingredient list. Keep reading after the recipe to win a new Love Grown Foods product, Love O’s. They are as cute as they sound. But taste even better.

Berry Cherry Parfait

Beautiful and easy treat for breakfast, snack, or dessert.

  • 1 Cup Plain Greek Yogurt or Vanilla
  • 1/3 Cup Freeze Dried Raspberries, crushed
  • 1 Cup Granola or Favorite Dry Cereal
  • 2 Cups Frozen Dark Sweet Cherries, slightly thawed

  • In a small mixing bowl, combine the crushed raspberries with yogurt and stir until uniformly pink. Alternate yogurt, granola, and cherries in any combination.
  • Make ahead directions
  • If you're going to make these ahead omit the granola and save, covered, in the fridge. Reserve the crunchy granola for only a garnish when you serve.

Sub strawberry yogurt if you don't have any freeze dried raspberries.

These darling Love O’s are perfect for Valentine’s Day breakfast, parfaits, or in a Cupid Trail Mix for snacking. I can’t wait to use them next week to surprise my kids. Even Hunky Husband said without any prodding, “Oh, these are really cute.” Besides the point that they are SO CUTE – they taste amazing, pack a punch of nutrition, and have less than 10 grams of sugar per serving.
