I gave three cheers when I discovered the leftover waffles. It was a rushed school morning where I needed a little kitchen miracle. The Strawberry + Peanut Butter Wafflewich was born.
Leftover waffles heat perfectly in a toaster. I added a schmear of peanut butter and heart-shaped strawberry slices. Everyone was fed. Just a few dishes. Score.
What else would you put on a Wafflewich?
A great alternative to traditional PB&J. Try this with leftover waffles or in a lunch box.
- 2 Belgian Waffles
- 1/3 Cup Natural Peanut Butter
- 1 Cup Strawberries, Washed and Sliced
- Tear apart the waffle sections. Assemble your sandwiches by spreading a tablespoon or two of peanut butter on a piece and top with sliced strawberries.
